The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an expedited process to replace Ghanaian passports lost or damaged during this week’s floods.
In a press release issued on July 3, 2026, the Ministry expressed sympathy to persons affected by the floods and extended condolences to families of those who lost their lives.

The Ministry said many Ghanaians may have lost or damaged their passports as a result of the flooding and has therefore introduced a fast-track replacement process.
Affected persons are required to contact the Ministry between July 3 and July 17, 2026, through the dedicated number 055 936 8563 and provide their name, date of birth and gender as they appear in the lost or damaged passport, as well as a contact phone number.
The Ministry said it intends to replace all lost and damaged passports within one week.
It added that it remains committed to supporting the government’s recovery efforts and stands in solidarity with all those affected by the floods.
