Ghana secures 120 job offers for evacuees from South Africa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that 120 job offers have been secured for Ghanaian nationals being evacuated from South Africa.

The initiative is part of a jobs programme encouraging Ghanaian CEOs and entrepreneurs to support returning citizens affected by xenophobic attacks.

According to the Ministry, Ghanaian business leaders willing to employ evacuees are invited to contact the Ministry’s Delivery Unit, led by Ambassador Alexander Grant Ntrakwa, on 056 1108 000.

The Ministry stated that the initiative aims to support reintegration and provide employment opportunities for affected citizens.

It added that more job opportunities are expected as engagement with the private sector continues, with the government expressing appreciation to participating employers.

The statement reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting all Ghanaian citizens.
