The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana has announced that vaccination certificates are not mandatory for Ghanaians travelling to Senegal, despite recommendations for certain immunisations.
According to the Ministry, authorities in Dakar have indicated that vaccinations against diseases such as yellow fever, DPT, measles, and hepatitis A and B are recommended solely to protect the health and safety of travellers. However, presenting proof of these vaccinations is not a requirement for entry into Senegal.

The Ministry is advising all Ghanaian travellers to take note of these guidelines and ensure they are medically prepared before undertaking their journeys.
The information has been circulated to enhance the health and safety of Ghanaians travelling abroad, while reinforcing awareness of entry conditions in Senegal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of Ghanaians overseas and urged travellers to comply with all health and entry requirements of their destination countries.
