GTEC lists unrecognised tertiary institutions as of April 2026

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has announced that several institutions are not recognised as of April 2026 due to quality assurance concerns.

In a public notice issued on Friday, April 17, 2026, GTEC advised the public to exercise due diligence regarding any certificates issued by the listed institutions.

The listed unrecognised institutions include Universidad Azteca, Indian School of Management and Studies, Breyer State Theology University, and Debest College of Science, Arts and Business.
Also affected are Osiri University, Atlantic International University, Faith University Seminary, and Christian University College Monrovia.

Others include Rhema Bible Training College, Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, Selinus University of Sciences and Literature, and Crown University International Chartered.

Further institutions listed are Monarch Business School, City University, Kesmond International University, and Washington University of Barbados.

The list also includes London Academy of Technology and Management, IICSE University, Doxa Open University, and Brainae University.

Additional names are University of Haana, Christian Leadership University, International Institute of Church Management Inc, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Training School, Louisiana Baptist University & Seminary, Tech Global University,

International Christian University, LIGS University, Swiss Management Centre University, Quest International University, Isles

International University, Kingsnow University, New Life Bible College and Seminary, East Bridge University, Texila American University, Vision International University, Keisie International University, Dublin Metropolitan University, Logos University, and University of America.
