The High Commissioner of Singapore to Ghana, Hamazi Daipi, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Accra.
The meeting focused on deepening bilateral relations, with emphasis on expanding trade, investment and cooperation in agribusiness.

High Commissioner Daipi reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to increasing its investment footprint in Ghana, particularly in agribusiness, trade and industrial growth, and expressed readiness to collaborate to position Ghana as an investment hub in Africa.
The Minister expressed appreciation for Singapore’s interest, noting the country’s development model, especially in green and sustainable city planning, and stated her intention to replicate similar approaches in her constituency.
She also commended Olam Agri for its investment in Ghana, including the commissioning of a pasta plant by President John Dramani Mahama, describing it as a boost to agribusiness and local industrialisation.
The Minister highlighted Ghana’s role as host of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat and its commitment to leveraging the platform to enhance intra-African trade.
She also pointed to opportunities in Ghana’s free zones, describing them as offering a predictable and conducive environment for manufacturing, trade and export, and encouraged Singaporean companies to invest.
Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in sectors including textiles, garments and pharmaceuticals to deepen economic ties.
