Voting is underway in the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Tamale Central Constituency Parliamentary Primaries, where delegates are electing a candidate to represent the party in the upcoming Parliamentary by-election.
A total of 1,551 delegates are expected to cast their ballots to decide among 12 aspirants contesting for the slot. Security has been heightened, with large numbers of Police officers deployed to the venue. Officers are conducting thorough checks, while additional personnel have been stationed across the four designated polling centres.
The atmosphere remains calm, with delegates casting their votes in turns and fewer people visible in the queues.
