A delegation from the Ghana Education Service (GES) has met with the leadership of the National Sports Authority (NSA), led by Professor Peter Twumasi, to discuss preparations for upcoming inter-schools sports competitions.

The meeting focused on resolving issues surrounding the use of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which has hosted GES inter-schools competitions in recent years.
The two institutions have previously raised concerns over damage caused to facilities at the stadium during some of the events.
The discussions come as the Ghana Education Service prepares to organise the Inter-Schools Milo Games for 32 senior high schools for the first time since 2020, when sporting activities were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both parties described the meeting as productive and agreed to hold further discussions before making a final decision on the organisation of the competitions.
According to the GES, the upcoming events will include a boys’ football tournament and an inter-school athletics championship, with preparations currently underway.
