Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson says his side is ready to face any opponent on their path to securing qualification for the U-20 Women’s World Cup, after completing a double victory over Tunisia.
Ghana defeated the North African side 2-0 in both legs, sealing a comfortable 4-0 aggregate win. At the Accra Sports Stadium, Mercy Attobrah scored her third goal of the tie, while Agnes Yebboah came off the bench to score with her very first touch.

The result sets up a third-round qualifier clash with South Africa, who defeated Eswatini in the previous round.
Speaking after the game, Coach Sampson expressed confidence in his team’s readiness:
“Our goal is to qualify for the World Cup, but our intention is to go step by step. Now that we are done with Tunisia, our next focus turns to South Africa. I have already watched them in the first leg against Eswatini, where they scored five goals. I have an idea of their team. We are up to the task; our aim is to go to the World Cup, so any opponent we get, we will study them and work towards how we can outweigh them.”
The Black Princesses are aiming to qualify for their eighth successive U-20 Women’s World Cup, with the decisive game against South Africa scheduled for next year.
