A Ghanaian delegation has held a meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi on the sidelines of the 70th IAEA General Conference in Vienna.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Ghana and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as their shared commitment to harnessing nuclear science and technology safely, securely and peacefully for sustainable development.

Discussions also focused on Ghana’s continued advancement of its nuclear journey and the importance of international cooperation in strengthening the country’s technical and regulatory capacity.
The engagement further highlighted efforts to expand the benefits of nuclear science across healthcare, agriculture, energy and other critical areas.
Ghana expressed its intention to deepen its collaboration with the IAEA to ensure that science and technology translate into tangible improvements in the lives of its people.
