
Hon. Faustina Elikplim Akurugu is the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born on Tuesday, 8th April 1975, and hailing from Adina, she brings a solid record of grassroots development and public service to her role in Parliament.
She holds a Master of Philosophy degree from Methodist University College, earned in 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ghana, Legon, completed in 2011. Her academic foundation was laid at Bolgatanga Girls Secondary School, where she obtained her Senior Secondary School Certificate in 1993.
Before entering Parliament, Hon. Akurugu served as a Field Officer with World Vision Ghana, working closely with communities to improve livelihoods. In Parliament, she is a member of the Appointments Committee, the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee, and the Public Accounts Committee. Her background in development and social work equips her to advocate effectively for accountability, food security, and inclusive governance.
