Vice president Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang attends commissioning of ambassadors-designate

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has attended the commissioning ceremony of newly appointed Ambassadors-designate, describing the event as a significant milestone in strengthening Ghana’s diplomatic presence and engagement abroad.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President congratulated the appointees on their nominations and reminded them of the critical responsibility entrusted to them as representatives of Ghana on the international stage.

She urged the ambassadors-designate to discharge their duties with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of national service.

According to her, effective diplomatic representation is central to advancing Ghana’s foreign policy objectives, protecting national interests, and deepening cooperation with partner countries and international institutions.

She stressed the need for the envoys to promote Ghana’s image positively while fostering meaningful bilateral and multilateral partnerships that support economic growth, peace, and development.

The commissioning marks a key step in reinforcing Ghana’s diplomatic architecture and ensuring that the country’s missions abroad are led by officials committed to excellence, accountability, and results.

Vice President Opoku-Agyemang reaffirmed government’s confidence in the ambassadors-designate and expressed optimism that they would contribute significantly to Ghana’s international relations and global standing.
