Ablakwa holds strategy session on reparations after UN resolution

Hon.Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has held a virtual debriefing and strategy session with global reparations experts and activists following the UN resolution on the transatlantic slave trade, March 25, declaring the transatlantic slave trade a grave crime against humanity.

According to Hon. Ablakwa, the meeting reviewed the next steps and reaffirmed the commitment to pursuing justice and restitution under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

He said participants remained united and undeterred, despite opposition and denialism, and emphasised their resolve to advance the reparations agenda.

Hon. Ablakwa indicated that the next steps will be announced in the coming days and expressed appreciation to global supporters backing the initiative.
