Ga and Dangme to be integrated into AI-driven education platforms

The Minister of Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, has assured the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, that Ghanaian languages will be integrated into future digital and AI-driven education platforms.

The Minister said the integration will include Ga and Dangme and extend to platforms such as Google’s Gemini initiative.

The Minister stressed that language is central to culture and learning.

The Minister stated that although English remains Ghana’s official language, indigenous languages must be promoted, particularly at the early stages of education.

The Minister disclosed that plans are underway to expand AI language coverage to all 12 Ghana Education Service-approved indigenous languages.

The Minister announced that a National Indigenous Languages Conference will be held soon to advance this agenda.

The Minister also demonstrated support for education by donating GHS 100,000 to the Ga Mantse Educational Fund.

The Minister commended the Ga Mantse for his strong contribution to education and youth development.
