ECOM Ghana‘s Sustainable Management Services (SMS) has upgraded the educational infrastructure of Brodekwano Methodist Basic School in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, reaffirming its commitment to improving primary education in rural cocoa-growing communities.
The initiative saw the complete renovation of the school block and the donation of more than 1,500 teaching and learning resources, including NaCCa-approved textbooks, pens, pencils, crayons, wall clocks, and newly improved recycled plastic desks. The intervention aims to significantly improve the learning experience for pupils by equipping them with the tools they need to succeed.

Students expressed heartfelt appreciation, recalling earlier challenges with a shortage of desks and limited textbooks. Their excitement at receiving the new materials reflected the positive change the project promises to bring to their education.
Acting General Manager of SMS, Mr. Emmanuel Baffoe-Bonnie, underscored the company’s belief that education is the backbone for every child’s success. He pledged continued support for community infrastructure and resources to help nurture future leaders. He also used the occasion to encourage cocoa farmers to avoid littering empty chemical containers on their farms and to plant more trees as part of climate adaptation efforts.

The Krontihene of Brodekwano, Nana Owusu Achiaw, and the SISO of the Brodekwano Circuit, Ms. Agovor Gifty, commended the donation, stressing the impact it will have on academic performance and urging pupils to make the most of the improved facilities to achieve excellence.
The project reflects ECOM Ghana’s broader mission of supporting education while advancing sustainable development in rural communities.
