Bellview International School CEO Nana Yaa Barnie Asanso Nkosoc Hemaa urges parents and guardians to prioritise quality time with their wards despite busy schedules

The CEO of Bellview International School, Nana Yaa Barnie Asanso Nkosoꓛ Hemaa of Bekwai Municipality, has appealed to parents and guardians to dedicate quality time to their wards, stressing the importance of monitoring, guiding, and building strong conversational relationships regardless of occupational demands.

Speaking at the school’s graduation and prize/speech giving day in Mampongteng–Korea in the Ashanti Region, she noted that many parents struggle to engage consistently with their children due to busy schedules, financial constraints, marital issues, and other challenges, which ultimately affect the children’s well-being and future. She cautioned that a lack of cordiality and emotional care leaves many children vulnerable and unsupported.

In an interview with Joy Learning’s EduNews, the Municipal Ambulance Commander for Old Tafo, Mr. Acheampong Isaac, who also serves as Senior Advanced Emergency Medical Technologist, emphasised that spending quality time with children is “non-negotiable” and urged parents to make it a critical priority despite tight schedules. He called on parents to recognise that future leaders depend on their guidance and presence.

Some students also voiced concerns, appealing to parents to find amicable solutions to marital problems, noting that unresolved conflicts often lead to single parenting, which can disrupt their focus and aspirations.
