The Ghana Police Service has promoted seven officers of the Tema Regional Police Command for their role in a recent anti-robbery operation.
The promotions were approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on April 14, 2026, following the officers’ response to a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor at Tema Community 5.

The operation led to the shooting of two robbery suspects and the recovery of a firearm, ammunition, and other exhibits.
The officers promoted are Chief Inspector Enoch Nartey Nuer, Inspector Gershon Dekpey, Inspector Prince Asante, Sergeant Lukman Mohammed, Sergeant Eugene Kuudouru, Corporal Jerome Akator, and Lance Corporal Jonathan Sewurah.
The IGP, together with the Police Management Board, commended the officers for their courage, discipline, and commitment to duty, and urged them to see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.
