The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority has engaged the Ghana Police Service to enhance security along Ghana’s transit corridors.
Director-General of GPHA, Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

Discussions focused on strengthening joint efforts to safeguard the movement of transit goods from Ghana’s ports to landlocked neighbouring countries, with attention on tackling smuggling and other criminal activities affecting transit trade.
Major-General Tanye-Kulono highlighted the importance of securing transit cargo to maintain Ghana’s position as a competitive trade hub in the sub-region.
