Kasoa-Winneba Road dualisation to extend to Cape Coast – John Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the government will extend the Kasoa–Winneba Road dualisation project to Cape Coast as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the Central Region.

Speaking in Cape Coast during his thank-you visit to the region, he outlined plans for the project’s next phases. “While phase one is ongoing, phase two and phase three will be packaged and funded under our Big Push programme,” he stated.

The first phase of the $180 million dual carriageway project, covering 30 kilometres along the Kasoa-Winneba highway, was launched to ease traffic and enhance trade. According to Mahama, the second phase will extend from Winneba to Mankessim, while the third phase will reach Cape Coast.

Beyond the dualisation project, the government also plans to modernize the Mankessim market and undertake key road developments, including the Yamoransa to Twifo Praso road and the Cape Coast to Twifo Praso road.
