John Mahama appoints new Bank of Ghana Board

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new members to the governing board of the Bank of Ghana in consultation with the Council of State.

The appointments, made in line with Article 70(1)(d)(iii) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612), as amended by the Bank of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Act 918), aim to strengthen the central bank’s leadership and oversight.

The appointments are expected to enhance the Bank of Ghana’s regulatory and policy framework, ensuring financial stability and effective economic governance.
