Health Ministry updates nurses on arrears payments

The Ministry of Health says the payment of three months’ outstanding arrears for the 2020 batch of nurses and midwives, scheduled for May 2026, has been completed.

The statement, signed by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Tony Goodman, on May 27, 2026, acknowledged that some individuals did not receive the full three months of arrears as scheduled.

According to the Ministry, it is working with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to resolve the issue and ensure that affected individuals receive the outstanding payments together with their scheduled June payments.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to nurses and midwives across the country for their patience, dedication and service.

It added that further updates on the matter would be communicated in due course.
