Accra, May 8, 2022 – The 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 23) delivered two nights of electrifying performances and celebrations of Ghanaian music at the Grand Arena in Accra.
The event featured thrilling acts from Obrafour, Tinny, Cina Soul, Akwaboah, Stonebwoy, Camidoh, Black Sherif, and many others. Legendary collaborations and energetic stagecraft set the tone for a memorable ceremony.

The night’s biggest winner was KiDi, who walked away with the prestigious Artiste of the Year title, alongside awards for Album of the Year (“The Golden Boy”), Vodafone Most Popular Song (“Touch It”), and Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year.
Black Sherif, one of Ghana’s fastest-rising stars, clinched Best New Artist and Best Hip-Hop Song with his hit “Second Sermon.” Other notable wins went to Fameye (Best Afropop Song and Songwriter of the Year), Sarkodie (Best Hiplife/HipHop Artiste), Joe Mettle (Best Gospel Artiste), and Stonebwoy (Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste).
