President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The appointment, made in line with Articles 91 and 202 of the 1992 Constitution and in consultation with the Council of State, sees COP Yohuno replace COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
With forty years of experience in law enforcement, COP Yohuno is expected to lead the modernization and transformation of the Ghana Police Service.
The announcement was made by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, who serves as the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.
