The Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspects in connection with an alleged assault incident at Ashongman Estate in Accra.
According to a statement from the Accra Regional Police Command, the arrests were made by the Kwabenya District Police Command as part of investigations into a complaint involving officials of a microfinance company.

Police said the complainant, Hagar Emaser, aged 42, reported on March 13, 2026, that four men from Bill’s Microfinance visited her residence to demand repayment of a loan facility she had obtained from the company. During the encounter, the men allegedly assaulted her.
Following the complaint, police arrested the suspects on March 14, 2026. The suspects have been identified as Denis Wornyo (38), Albert Amarh (40), Ebenezer Amartei (23), and Atsu Lawson (27).
Investigators have since taken caution statements from the four suspects, who are currently in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.
The Accra Regional Police Command has urged victims of assault or other criminal acts to promptly report such incidents to the police to enable swift investigation and action.
The Command also advised individuals with grievances related to loan transactions or other civil matters to pursue lawful and peaceful means of resolving disputes rather than resorting to confrontation.
