Police Detective Inspector Alexander Agbekpornu, presenting the case before presiding judge Emmanuel Wiafe Adu, said the complainant, Bernard Awuah, a pastor residing at Atwima-Sepaase, had originally acquired the plot from the Boaso Chief, Nana Kofi Bimpong II, on May 20, 2015, and had begun developing a three-bedroom foundation on the land.
The prosecution narrated that on October 19, 2025, Awuah received information that the land had been cleared with a bulldozer. Upon visiting the site, he later made contact with a witness, Stephen Asante, who claimed to have bought the same plot from the accused for GHC50,000.
A report was subsequently lodged with the Abuakwa Police, leading to the arrest of Boakye on November 7, 2025. In his caution statement, the accused admitted to the offence. After investigations concluded, he was charged and brought before the court.
