Information reaching The Ghanaian Standard indicates that the leader and 2020 and 2024 Presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Akpaloo, has been picked up by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
He was reportedly arrested at his residence in Kumasi. Family sources told the media they are yet to be informed of the reasons behind the arrest, adding that his current whereabouts remain unknown.

EOCO has not issued any official statement on the matter, and efforts to obtain confirmation or details from the anti-graft agency have so far been unsuccessful.
