The Bono Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into the death of a 43-year-old woman, identified as Cynthia Boahemaa, whose lifeless body was found hanging in her single room at Penkwase in the Sunyani Municipality.
According to a police statement, the deceased was discovered hanging on a crossbar with a cloth tied around her neck. The body has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The statement, signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Administration, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (a) in Sunyani, said two co-tenants of the deceased, Hayford Nkansah and Eunice Adobea, reported the incident to the police.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the body hanging with blood oozing from her nostrils.
“The body was inspected and taken to the Sunyani Teaching Hospital where a medical doctor confirmed the death,” the statement noted.
The Police assured the public that thorough investigations are underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death.
