Simon Madjie has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), replacing Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong, who held the position for only two weeks.

Dr Brempong’s sudden reassignment has sparked speculation, as no official reason has been given. Sources suggest she has been moved to a strategic role at the Jubilee House, though details remain undisclosed.

Mr Madjie, a seasoned investment promotion expert, previously served as Executive Secretary of the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana (AmCham). He has played a key role in strengthening trade ties between Ghana and the United States, facilitating major investment projects, and leading discussions on Ghana’s business climate.

With a background in international trade law and leadership experience in investment facilitation, Madjie’s appointment is expected to bolster Ghana’s foreign direct investment efforts.
