It also explored ways to strengthen policy coordination between the Office of the Vice President and the Ministry, while enhancing collaboration on national development initiatives.

The Ministry of Finance plays a pivotal role in resource mobilisation, budget management, debt sustainability, and overall economic policy direction.

The Vice President’s engagement ensures that fiscal strategies remain supportive of broader government objectives, including job creation, infrastructure development, and social protection.

This interaction highlights the collaborative leadership style being adopted at the highest levels of government. By engaging directly with sector ministers and technical teams, the Vice President is able to gain first-hand insights into operational realities and provide strategic guidance where necessary.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s visits to MDAs are also expected to help identify bottlenecks, promote inter-ministerial synergy, and ensure that policies are implemented efficiently and effectively for the benefit of citizens.

The Ministry of Finance has been at the centre of government efforts to stabilise the economy, manage public debt, improve revenue collection, and create an enabling environment for private sector growth.

Discussions during the visit likely touched on recent fiscal performance, implementation of the budget, and strategies for the medium-term economic outlook.

Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s working visits demonstrate a clear focus on results-oriented leadership. By taking time to engage directly with ministries, she reinforces accountability and collective responsibility in the execution of government policies.
