Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, through his Walk With Julius initiative, has donated GHS 500,000 as seed capital to empower women entrepreneurs registered under the newly launched Madina Chamber of Commerce.
The announcement was made during the Chamber’s official launch by Madina Constituency MP, Francis Xavier Sosu, who described the gesture as a catalyst for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence across Ghana.

Addressing entrepreneurs and community leaders, Mr. Debrah urged women and youth to embrace entrepreneurship with courage, stressing that business success is not limited to the highly educated. “God didn’t bless everyone with the talent to become a doctor or a lawyer. But He gave each of us unique gifts… The most important thing is to start,” he said.
He compared business ventures to seeds that can grow with care, persistence, and determination. Drawing from scripture, he referenced the biblical story of Moses’ staff turning into a serpent, symbolising faith and obedience in unlocking extraordinary outcomes. He further encouraged participants to approach even small ventures—such as selling roasted plantain—with professionalism and pride.
Mr. Debrah assured that the Madina Chamber of Commerce would not only provide financial empowerment but also serve as a support network for entrepreneurs. “I only came here with good news, and I believe together, we can build something great,” he added.
The launch, marked by the GHS 500,000 commitment, sets a precedent for grassroots entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment, with the potential to inspire similar community-driven initiatives nationwide.
