British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua scores sixth-round knockout over Jake Paul in Miami heavyweight clash

British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua delivered a commanding performance on Saturday night in Miami, securing a sixth-round knockout victory over American influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul in their heavyweight bout.

Joshua’s dominance was evident as he knocked Paul down twice in the fifth round, applying relentless pressure before finishing the contest in the sixth with a sustained barrage of powerful punches.

The victory highlighted Joshua’s experience, composure, and punching power against a less seasoned opponent.

The win comes months after Joshua’s high-profile visit to Ghana in June, where he headlined and supported a major boxing event at the Bukom Boxing Arena. The event was spearheaded by Legacy Rise Sports CEO Sharaf Mahama and aimed at spotlighting local boxing talent.

During his Ghana visit, Joshua paid courtesy calls on national leaders, including President Mahama, engaged in cultural activities, and participated in discussions focused on using boxing and sports as tools for youth development and for projecting Ghana positively on the global stage.

Joshua’s Miami victory further reinforces his status as one of boxing’s most influential figures, both inside and outside the ring.
