Ghana’s Black Stars will face England, Croatia, and Panama in the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, setting up a challenging yet promising start to the tournament.
The team opens its campaign against Panama on Wednesday, June 17, in Dallas, USA, aiming to build momentum ahead of tougher clashes with European heavyweights.

The 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will mark the first edition featuring 48 teams, an expansion from the traditional 32, and will run from June 11 to July 19.
A total of 104 matches will be played across 16 venues, with 78 fixtures staged in 11 NFL stadiums across the United States, including all matches from the quarterfinals onward.
Mexico and Canada will host 13 games each, while the final is set for MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, featuring the tournament’s first-ever halftime show.
Under the new structure, the 12 group winners and runners-up, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will advance to a newly introduced Round of 32, ensuring that strong performances in the group stage are crucial.
Teams reaching the final will play a total of eight matches.
