The Governing Council of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has renewed the leadership of the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar for a second term, affirming their stewardship over the institution. Under the leadership of Professor Kodzo Gavua, the Council approved the reappointment of Professor Lydia Aziato and Mrs Yaa Amankwaa Opuni for a four-year term, effective August 1, 2026, ending July 31, 2030.

A statement from the University, signed by Mr Anthony Asempah, Director of Public Affairs, noted that the decision followed a comprehensive performance evaluation conducted by two review committees established by the Council. It congratulated both appointees and called on faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners to support them in leading UHAS into its next phase of growth.
