The forum was organised as a trade and investment side event aimed at strengthening economic partnerships between Ghana and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The event formed part of the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C.’s commercial diplomacy strategy, which seeks to leverage Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup in the United States to promote trade, attract investment, expand business networks and deepen economic cooperation with key U.S. states.
Among those who attended the event were President of the U.S.-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Philadelphia, Florence Torson-Hart; Congressman Brendan F. Boyle; the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority; and a representative of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
The recognition comes as Ghana continues its FIFA World Cup campaign in the United States while the country’s diplomatic mission pursues broader trade and investment engagements alongside the tournament.
