Heavy rainfall has caused flooding across parts of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), disrupting movement and affecting academic activities.
The flooding occurred after the Wiwi River overflowed following a Thursday morning downpour, inundating areas including Mecca Road, Casely Hayford, Agric Junction and several campus bridges.

Students and staff were forced to use alternative routes, while some students who attempted to cross flooded areas were reportedly directed back to their hostels as authorities monitored the situation.
Paa Joe Stadium was also affected, with parts of the facility submerged.
Students and staff have been advised to avoid flooded areas and prioritise safety as conditions continue to be monitored.
The incident has renewed concerns about drainage and flood management on campus.+
