Police deny allegations of leakage and bribery in promotion exams

ACCRA, 10 May 2026 – The Ghana Police Service has denied allegations of paper leakage and bribery in a recent Police Promotion examination.

The Service said claims published by The Herald newspaper were false, baseless and without merit.

According to the Police Service, the promotion examination was conducted by the University of Cape Coast, which it described as an institution with a strong reputation and proven integrity in administering such examinations.

The Service said it takes serious exception to the allegations and urged the public to disregard them.
