The discussions focused on opportunities within the tomato value chain and how these align with government’s broader agenda to promote agro-processing, value addition, and job creation.
A key priority highlighted in the engagement was the integration of Ghanaian tomato farmers into the value chain. This, according to the discussions, is expected to create sustainable livelihoods, strengthen local production, and reduce import dependence.
The Vice President stated that government remains committed to creating an enabling environment that supports investment and strengthens cooperation with strategic partners.
She further noted that government is determined to leverage such partnerships to drive industrial growth, support local farmers, and advance Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
