Father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi allegedly killed in armed robbery attack

Accra, February 20, 2026,Tragedy struck the family of Sammy Gyamfi as his father-in-law was reportedly killed during an armed robbery incident in Accra. According to preliminary reports, the victim was attacked by armed assailants in what authorities are describing as a targeted robbery.

Police sources indicate that the attackers forcibly gained access to the premises, and in the course of the robbery, the victim sustained fatal injuries. The perpetrators reportedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend them.

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that officers are investigating the incident, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses. They have urged members of the public to provide any information that could aid in the arrest of the suspects.

The family of the late victim, including Sammy Gyamfi, has been left devastated by the loss, describing the incident as a tragic and sudden blow.

Community leaders and political figures have expressed condolences to the family and called for heightened security measures in vulnerable neighborhoods.
