Founder and leader of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, issued a warning stating that those who curse him do so at their own peril.
Speaking during a sermon on Sunday, June 18, 2023, the Archbishop referred to Genesis 12:1-3 in the Bible, emphasizing that anyone who curses a child of God will invoke God’s wrath upon themselves.
These remarks come in response to the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum issued by the chiefs and elders of Nogokpo. The ultimatum demanded that Archbishop Agyinasare report and engage in peace talks or face the consequences for labelling Nogokpo as the “demonic headquarters” of the Volta Region.
Drawing from Genesis 12:3, the Archbishop explained, “I will bless anybody that blesses you, and curse anyone that curses you.” He further elaborated that a curse entails invoking spiritual forces to cause harm.
Therefore, if God declares that anyone who curses a Christian will be cursed, then those who pour libation and mention the Christian’s name are activating a spiritual law against themselves and their families.
Archbishop Agyinasare emphasized that anyone who pours libation against a Christian is setting themselves up for a battle with God.
In response to the ultimatum, Nufialagah Mawufemor Kobla Nornyigbey, the spokesperson for Nogokpo, stated that the chief and elders would convene to determine the next course of action.
