Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, former running mate of Mr. in the 2020 general elections, has called upon Ghanaian women to take action to address the governance challenges faced by the country under the New Patriotic Party () administration.

Speaking at the orientation and inauguration of the Central Regional women's working committee of the National Democratic Congress () in , Prof. Opoku Agyemang emphasized the urgent need for concerted efforts to rescue Ghana from economic turmoil.

She urged women to unite and devote themselves to the task of salvaging the nation, highlighting the importance of their role in shaping the country's future. Prof. Opoku Agyemang praised the NDC's proposed 24-hour economic policy as a viable initiative to create jobs and rejuvenate the economy.

Echoing her sentiments, Mrs Faustina Naa Lamley, the Central Regional Women's Organiser, stressed that winning the 2024 elections should be the collective goal of all Ghanaians concerned about the country's welfare, not just NDC members.

Madam Abigail Elorm Akwambia Mensah, Deputy National Women's Organizer, emphasized in an interview with the GNA that women play a pivotal role in society and are most affected by government policies. She underscored the necessity for women to mobilize and work diligently to effect change, citing the current economic hardships as a driving force for their collective action.

The call to action from Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang and other NDC women leaders underscores the urgency of addressing governance issues and mobilizing grassroots support for political change in Ghana.
