In the Bodi District of the Western North Region, a 30-year-old man was fatally beaten in Sefwi Ahibenso.
Kwadwo Afful, known to sell marijuana (weed), allegedly did not deliver the sales proceeds to his boss, who had entrusted him with the drug for selling.
According to a report from Adom News, a group of men associated with the boss attacked the victim, subjecting him to brutal beatings before leaving his lifeless body on the streets of Ahibenso.
Confirming the tragic incident to Adom News, Daniel Kwasi Tawiah, the grandfather of Kwadwo Afful, witnessed a crowd on the street and upon investigation discovered what had befallen his grandchild.
Mr Tawiah promptly notified the police in Bodi, who subsequently retrieved the deceased's body and transported it to the morgue at the Juaboso Government Hospital, pending further investigations.
Speaking to Adom News, a concerned resident urged the police to apprehend the suspects and ensure justice for the grieving family.
He expressed his belief that the arrest and subsequent prosecution of the culprits would contribute to the reduction of lawlessness in the area. Presently, the suspects remain at large.
