The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the headmaster of Piina Senior High School, Mr Adams Mahama Issahaku, following an incident in which food items were discovered in his official pick-up truck while travelling from Piina SHS to Wa on February 6, 2025.
A letter signed by the Upper West Regional Director of Education, Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, stated that the interdiction was a “procedural requirement and does not constitute presumption of guilt.” The move is to allow for a full-scale investigation into the matter.
Mr. Issahaku has been directed to hand over the administration of the school and all school property in his possession to the Upper West Regional Director of Education. He is also required to make himself available for investigations and avoid any actions that could compromise the process.
GES has assured that he will be duly notified of the outcome of the investigations and any subsequent decisions.
