, the leading mobile telecommunications network, has extended its celebrations by bringing joy to newborns born on December 25, 2023, in hospitals in the Region.

The company made donations to babies born on Christmas Day at the Regional Hospital in and the Bongo District Hospital.

The donation included essential items for newborns such as baby oil, soap, diapers, wipes, clothes, and MTN credit scratch cards given to the mothers.

This initiative is part of MTN Ghana's commitment to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ by bringing smiles to families with newborns on Christmas Day.

Mr Martin Kumobah, the Upper East Regional MTN Ghana Team Lead, emphasized the significance of Christmas as a season of love and sharing.

He mentioned that the company aims to show love by providing hampers to babies born on Christmas Day annually.

The regional team distributed 30 hampers to babies born on Christmas Day at major hospitals in the region.

Mr. Kumobah assured that MTN is committed not only to providing reliable services to subscribers but also to supporting the less privileged.

The company plans to sustain this annual Christmas initiative, bringing joy to families and contributing to the well-being of newborns.

At the Regional Hospital, there were nine babies (six girls and three boys) from eight deliveries, while at the Bongo District Hospital, there were also nine babies (five boys and four girls) from eight deliveries.

The hampers provided by MTN contained essential items for newborn care, offering relief to mothers and supporting them in ensuring good hygiene for their babies.

The midwives and hospital staff expressed gratitude for MTN's generous gesture, highlighting the positive impact on mothers and newborns who may face challenges in affording certain items.

The initiative reflects MTN Ghana's commitment to corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact on communities during the festive season.
