Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye, a player for Accra Great Olympics FC, is now eligible for selection after serving his mandatory suspension in the Black Meteors' opening game of the 2023 TotalEnergies U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The left-back received two yellow cards during the qualification stage of the competition, which led to his suspension for the opening game against Congo on Sunday.
However, he has now been cleared to play in Ghana's second-group match against Morocco and the subsequent matches in the tournament.
Quaye's return is a significant boost for Coach Ibrahim Tanko's team as they prepare to face the tournament hosts on Tuesday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Both Ghana and Morocco secured victories in their opening Group A matches, and a win in this crucial match could greatly enhance their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.
Following Tuesday's game, Ghana will travel to Tangier for their final group match against Guinea on Friday, June 30.
