The District Assembly has embarked on a project to reshape its major roads with the aim of fostering economic growth and enhancing transportation networks in the area.

The roads undergoing reshaping include the Aveyime roundabout to Riverside, Aveyime-Agbetikpo, Transformer Junction, Battor-Mepe St Kizito, George's Pure Water Junction – Church of Pentecost (Hospital Assembly), and Torgbega Dzekley's Lane – Transformer Junction in Battor.

Mr. Osborne Divine Fenu, the District Chief Executive (DCE), emphasized that the project's goal is to improve socio-economic activities and enhance accessibility for residents. He noted that the initiative will particularly benefit the agricultural, trade, and tourism sectors by improving key pathways connecting major towns and villages through grading, filling, and surfacing to ensure durability.

Mr. Fenu assured residents that plans are in place to give a facelift to all road networks in the district and expressed gratitude to the Sinohydro Group and the Mawums Company for their support.

Madam Akua Mensah, a businesswoman in the district, welcomed the initiative, stating that the reshaping of roads would expand businesses and attract more customers. She urged the District Assembly to ensure the timely and thorough completion of the project to maximize its benefits for the community.
