New York firm acquires office property in Metaverse for $35,000

The accounting and advisory firm acquired the property in collaboration with Blockchain firm, Banquet LLC on a decentralized platform.

Prager Metis hopes to use the newly acquired three-story building to advise companies and other new and existing clients on tax and accounting issues. 

Speaking on the issue, the Chief Executive of Prager Metis, Glenn Friedman said, the firm wishes that the majority of its clients especially in the entertainment and industries, will purchase its services in the metaverse since companies decide to leverage their businesses there.

If the metaverse is going to replace the internet, then certainly business is going to use it,” Mr Friedman stated ”

Prager Metis International LLC  currently operates 23 physical offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia, 

Nevertheless, Prager Metissome is not the only form venturing into the Metaverse. Another accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in December revealed that its Hong Kong unit purchased virtual real estate from a subsidiary of software firm Animoca Brands Corp known as  Sandbox for an undisclosed amount.

In a statement, partner at PwC Hong Kong, William Gee noted that “The Metaverse offers new possibilities for organisations to create value through innovative business models, as well as introducing new ways to engage with their customers and communities”.

The statement further explains that PwC has plans of advising clients on the challenges presented by the metaverse but refused to provide the hill details.
