Ghanaian actress and television personality, Nana Ama McBrown, has firmly rejected claims that her marriage to Maxwell Mensah is in turmoil, dispelling the rumours of an impending divorce.
Speculations about the supposed divorce had circulated widely in recent days, with some alleging that McBrown's husband had entered into a relationship with another woman, reportedly causing the actress to leave her matrimonial home.
However, during an appearance on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Nana Ama McBrown addressed these claims and assured the host, Andy Dosty, that her marriage was stable.
“I am happy at home, we are happy. We are very happy, extremely happy. It's just like life [which comes with] ups and downs. So it's not what they are saying. I am not here to respond but I just feel like me and my husband are cool, we are fine. So there is no need to talk too much about it,” she confidently stated.
When asked about how she handles pressure on social media, McBrown expressed her resilience and emphasized that she wouldn't succumb to external pressures.
“I don't have any pressure. You don't know me. I buy my own food. I came here in my own car. It's my own car, I bought it myself. I feel it myself. I live in my own house. I live in a house I built with my husband, we are fine. So if you live in a rented house and you talk about me, I won't be worried about your pressure,” she asserted.
Nana Ama McBrown stressed that, as a public figure, she understands that people will talk about her. However, she possesses the power to decide which opinions and comments on social media to heed.
She also added that she would not let the opinions of others affect her because she is a contented woman with everything she needs to live a comfortable life.
Nana Ama McBrown and Maxwell Mensah have been married for approximately 12 years and are the parents of a daughter named Maxine.
