Starting Monday, April 15, the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) will begin a concerted effort to collect overdue payments from its customers in the Tema Region. This initiative was announced by the Tema Area Management in a statement released to the Ghana News Agency.
A special task force will be deployed to facilitate the collection of all outstanding arrears. GWCL has urged its customers to settle their unpaid bills promptly to avoid service interruptions. Customers can make payments at any of the designated pay points across the region.
Additionally, the company has provided several convenient digital payment options. MTN users can pay through the mobile money shortcode *170#, while Telecel and AT users can use *110#. Customers can also utilize the GWCL customer app for easy payments from their smartphones.
The company's statement emphasized the importance of timely payments: “Please pay your water bill now to avoid any disconnection and embarrassment.” This move is part of GWCL's broader strategy to improve revenue collection for sustained water supply services.
