San Pedro, In a historic clash at the Laurent Pokou Stadium, clinched their maiden victory in the Women's Champions League by defeating 's AS Far with a score of 2-1.

The star of the match was Comfort Yeboah, whose stellar performance helped the Ghanaian team secure a remarkable win against the defending champions, leaving AS Far to grapple with their emotions.

The early stages of the game saw AS Far taking control, confidently sending crosses into ' half whenever they possessed the ball. However, the tides of the match began to shift.

With the introduction of Ghanaians Mafia Nyame and Blessing Shine in the Moroccan team, Coach Nana Adarkwah recognized the need to guide his team to victory, given the familiarity between the two sides.

Comfort Yeboah played a pivotal role in this comeback, delivering an equalizer in the 56th minute as she expertly capitalized on a rebound, leaving the Moroccan goalkeeper bewildered.

Despite being underdogs, the -based team showcased remarkable tactical and skilful play. Comfort Yeboah continued her dominance, orchestrating a solid cross from the right flanks in the 62nd minute, leading to an own goal and cementing a 2-1 advantage over their opponents.

Notable performances from players like Mary Amponsah and Tracey Twum, who played their hearts out to protect the lead, contributed to the historic win.

After an exhilarating 90-minute play, AS Far found themselves without a point in Group B, suffering their first defeat in the competition. Comfort Yeboah was deservedly awarded the Player of the Match for her outstanding contributions to Ampem Darkoa Ladies' remarkable victory.
