Asante Kotoko came from behind to defeat Dreams FC 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium in one of the standout matches of the opening weekend of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
After a goalless first half, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku gave Dreams FC the lead early in the second half. Kotoko responded strongly in the closing stages, with Madusiru Salifu equalising in the 83rd minute after connecting with a pass from substitute Isaac Oppong.

Oppong then put Kotoko ahead with a brilliant solo effort before Richmond Lamptey sealed the victory with a powerful long-range strike from 25 yards.
Defending champions Hearts of Oak began their title defence with a goalless draw against Legon Cities in Accra despite dominating much of the match.
