Ghanaian striker Wahabu Musah has completed a permanent move to Spanish La Liga side Villarreal after signing a long-term contract with the club.
The highly rated forward will initially join Villarreal’s Under-21 team, where he is expected to continue his development before challenging for a place in the senior squad.

Musah makes the switch to Spain following an impressive spell with Clemson University in the United States, where he emerged as one of the standout performers in the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship.
His pace, intelligent movement and goalscoring ability earned him widespread recognition and established him as one of the most promising attacking talents in American college football.
His performances also attracted the attention of Major League Soccer, with Colorado Rapids selecting him with the 26th overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
Despite the opportunity to begin his professional career in the United States, Musah opted to pursue his ambitions in Europe after Villarreal presented him with the chance to develop at one of Spain’s leading clubs.
Villarreal have earned a reputation for nurturing young talent, with several academy graduates progressing to the first team before securing moves to some of Europe’s top clubs.
The transfer also highlights the growing role of the American collegiate system as a pathway to elite European football, with an increasing number of clubs scouting NCAA competitions for emerging talent.
